Dye sublimation uses a more advanced way of printing compared to the old ink jet system. It gives a rich looking finish that will not peel off in time or rapidly fade like many other forms of printing.
The image is as soft as the fabric itself, never stiff or "board-like." Also, because the ink is actually bonded with heat into the fibers of the material, it can be cleaned and washed repeatedly and still look like new.
Besides delivering tremendous impact, our advanced banner making process is also cost efficient. It's an easy way to print your message on beautiful eye catching banners. A key advantage to this printing technique is absolutely no set up or screen charge - unlike older printing methods. Also, the banners are produced with tremendous speed-with the average order produced in 10 days. Even faster delivery is available at an additional cost.
Use as many colors, photographs, and detail as you like in your design. There is now no limit on your creativity. Dye-sub technology allows us the versatility to print highly detailed images on a wide range of fabrics at one low price per sq. ft. And you have a tremendous selection of materials from which to choose.
The heart of the process involves fusing colors deeply into the fabric fibers by turning a solid image into a gas with the use of a heat press. This process produces very vibrant colors which are extremely durable in the sun and rain.
In fact, the colors are guaranteed for life to never run in the rain or wash-and for a full 8 months against sun fade.
Our banners are available in both single face (correct one side only) and double face styles. The use of an opaque interliner to prevent "flash-through" is highly recommended on all double face banners.
The price is only $12. Per square ft. For any fabric.
- Double face banners are priced at 2x the price of single face banners.
- Opaque Interliner available at $3.00 per square ft.
- The job minimum on Dye sub banners is 15 sq. ft or $180.00.
- Any size or shape(s) is permitted.
- Smaller banners can be printed in multiples to meet the size requirement at no extra cost.
Artwork requirements for Custom Flags
- Vector artwork created to scale in .Ai or .Eps format. Adobe Illustrator art files or similar are preferred.
- Make sure all fonts are converted to Outlines or Paths.
- PMS colors are specified. Colors may vary considerably if Pantone colors are not specified in the art. Flagman cannot be held responsible for color matches if PMS colors are not supplied or specified.
Our art department can assist you with digital art creation. In many cases are able to take your low-resolution JPEG or Tiff files and produce scalable Hi-Res art. Additional services available are Logo creation, Pantone color changes, Text additions or complete designs.
Art charges are billed at $75./hr. In this case, a cost estimate and a color proof of your design is generated and emailed to you for your approval. Production will begin after the color proof is approved.

- We will inspect your art ,then contact you by phone or E-mail. A written estimate will be faxed to you for you to sign and fax back to us. Upon receipt of your order, we will E-mail you a color flag proof for you to approve.
When we have the approved art we will begin your order. Flag production requires approx. 3-4 weeks. Banners require only 10-14 days. Rush orders are accepted in most cases at a 50% upcharge.
Available Banner Materials
- Vinyl
- Available in numerous varieties, reinforced, backlit, smooth finish, glossy finish, opaque. Printed on wide format Ink-Jet printers at 300dpi or photograde 600dpi.
- Satin
- Offers a smooth silky finish for an elegant appearance. Perfect for visual merchandising and point of purchase banners, or anywhere a rich finish is desired.
- Dacron 250
- Most common banner and flag material. Light weight, durable, same weight and feel of nylon.
- Ultra Sheer
- A sheer, translucent fabric great for creating a wispy, shimmering effect. A great fabric when you want to see through your image.
- Chiffon
- A semi sheer, translucent fabric, excellent for seeing your image from both sides.
- Spun Poplin
- Has the look and feel of cotton, yet is wrinkle resistant and machine washable.
- Mesh
- A medium weight fabric which allows wind, water, and vision to pass through, yet it can take all types of graphics.
- Linen
- Has the weave of linen, wrinkle resistant, machine washable, has the look and feel of expensive linen.
- Pellon
- The look of oriental rice paper, translucent, image can be seen from both sides. Exotic look and feel.
Finishing
Finishing includes hemmed edges and your choice of heading & grommets or open pole sleeve.
